Winburg · Mallaig · Inverness-shire This newly renovated self-catering flat, set in the middle of a large garden, used to be the Doctor's surgery and is well-nigh 10 minutes walk from the centre of Mallaig with its train station and ferry terminal. Ideal for two people, it has magnificent views towards the small isles of Eigg and Rum and overlooks the railway line where the steam train runs in the summer. If you come by train we can usually pick you up from the station. The subsection has one main room and a separate bathroom. The main room has two single beds with electric blankets which can be joined together making either a double bed or two three-foot singles, a living zone with well-appointed chairs, TV and internet connection and a kitchen zone with ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave oven. The bathroon has a shower, toilet, washing machine, gown drying facilities and a hair dryer. A glass door opens onto a verandah with table and chairs looking onto a mythological view of the garden with the sea and the islands of Eigg and Rum beyond. The garden is shared with the main house. The unappetizing is cosy and fully insulated with underfloor, wall and scalp insulation. Heating is electric and included in the weekly rates. There is moreover a wood-burner in the main room with an initial supply of wood with remoter supplies misogynist for purchase. All bed linen and towels are provided. Bookings are from Saturday 4pm to 10am on the Saturday of departure. There is a non-refundable petrifaction of £50 payable on booking, with the wastefulness to be paid four weeks surpassing arrival.
